Werner Seibert met Debbie Dominy at George Fox College in 1975. He was a naturalized citizen, arriving in Billings, Montana, from Germany at age two with his family. She was a Texan, born in Houston but relocated to the Oregon coastal town of Bandon at age four. He finally chose Jesus to be his Lord and Savior as a junior in High School while she received Jesus into her heart at the tender age of five. God brought this track athlete and this music/drama major together for a divine purpose.to be a pastor to His people wherever they were led. Marrying in 1978, at the beginning of their senior year in college, both were active in on-campus ministries, Werner as the official Student Chaplain and Debbie leading worship teams. Together they served three years, 1979-82, in youth ministry during Werner's Seminary training. Their first official pastorate was in the rural town of Big Timber, Montana, where their ministry flourished for seven years, 1982-89. It was here their two eldest daughters were born. The Seiberts were then asked to serve as Pastor of the Lockwood Church in Billings, Montana. Their youngest daughter arrived while there. Six years later, 1995, they were asked to return to Oregon to fill the Pastor of Adult Ministries position at Oregon City Evangelical Church. Just little over a year ago, 2007, they sensed themselves a little too "comfortable" in their spiritual life and once again felt compelled to tell God they were willing to move anywhere and serve in any way that He needed them to. Using a year-long process of pursuing a military chaplaincy, which included a resignation from the position at Oregon City, the Lord has instead clearly led this couple to Colbert Chapel! Sometimes we humans have good plans, but God has a greater plan! With their daughters each living out their individual ministries, Werner and Debbie are excited about their next ministry adventure at Colbert Chapel.
