Accepting Christ as Personal Savior

Questions to Ask Yourself:

• Is there any good reason why you cannot receive Jesus Christ right now?
• At this time will you step out in faith and trust God to come into your life? 

What You Must Do:

• Admit your need (I am a sinner).
• Be willing to turn from your sins (repent).
• Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the Cross and rose from the grave.
• Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come and control your life. (Receive Him as Lord and Savior).

• Romans 3:23, 5:8, 6:23
• Optional: Luke 13:3; Acts 4:12; Eph. 2:8-9; John 3:16-17

Salvation Prayers (Choose One and Pray it Out Loud):

(Option 1)
Dear Lord Jesus. I Know that I am A Sinner.  And need your forgiveness. I believe that you died for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I now invite you to come into my heart and life. I want to trust you as savior. And follow you as Lord. In Jesus Name, Amen.

(Option 2)
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I confess that I am a sinner. I am a person who is estranged and broken. I am a person who needs Your love. I accept what You have done in Jesus Christ, who died for my sins and who rose again on the third day. Now I confess my sins, and I acknowledge that I will take You as my boss, my Lord, my Savior. I will let you live through me the remainder of my life. In Jesus Name Amen.”

(Option 3)
Oh, God, thank you for making me and loving me and giving me the free will to choose to love you back. I want to say now that I believe You are real and I want an eternal relationship with You. I also recognize that I am a sinner and so I must ask your forgiveness for all the hurtful things I have done to myself, to others, and to you. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay for my sins and rising again to defeat death and hell. Please help me to live from now on in a way that will honor you. Come into my heart and life. I believe in you, I surrender to you and I will serve you as Lord and Savior.  In Jesus Name, Amen. 

(Option 4)
Jesus, come in and take over my life. I give it all to you. I ask forgiveness of my sins… the times that I have hurt myself, others, or you. I turn to you. I want no other thing, or no other person to be #1, just you. I want you to be the Lord of my life. I ask & accept you to come into my life, to be Lord of my life.

Lord please take my life and do something great with it for the kingdom of God. I put myself completely in your hands. I believe that you are able to take me through this life, through the good and through the bad, through the happy times and through sad times and all those in-between times.

Today I desire to Believe, Surrender and Serve Jesus Christ. Thank you that today can be the new start of my life… the greatest gift I could ever receive. In Jesus Name, Amen.
