Chapel Children's Center
Daycare with heart!
Our program is designed to provide for a balance between free play and organized activity, promoting individual contact between staff and child. There is a reasonable regularity of activity from day to day, but allowance is made for a variety of special events when available. Underlying all of the lessons taught are basic Christian truths and standards. We learn the letters of the alphabet and numbers 1-10 or 1-20, depending on age, as well as color and shape recognition. They are also encouraged to recognize their name and, depending on age, to write it. Many of our weekly themes coordinate with the season (i.e. mid-April - Baby Animals and December - winter and Christmas: Jesus has come!). We learn about our communities, our environment, our families, and that each one of them is special because God made them all AND God loves us!

| 08:30 a.m.-09:30 a.m. | Free center choices; School-age Bible lesson upstairs until school departure. |
| 09:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. | Outside play most days except in extreme weather, or inside exercise activities and games. |
| 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. | Group Circle Time to include Bible songs & stories, as well as Thinking & Talking group activities. They also learn and explore by doing hands-on activities (Learning by Doing), Craft and Creation activities, as well as rhythm, balance and coordination development through a variety of physical exploration, exercise, games and songs. |
| 11:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. | Lunch |
| 12:00 p.m.-12:45 p.m. | Outside play or inside exercise activities and games. |
| 12:45 p.m.-02:30 p.m. | Rest time for those who are still napping and/or need a rest break. Pick-ups/ drop-offs at this time can be disruptive and should be kept to a minimum if possible. All non-nappers will go to a separate area for planned activities. |
| 02:30 p.m.-03:00 p.m. | Snack (Snack also provided for afternoon school kids upon arrival to Center). |
| 03:00 p.m.-04:00 p.m. | Outside play or directed inside play/centers. |
| 04:00 p.m.-05:15 p.m. | Group Activities; Free center choices. |
| 05:15 p.m.-05:30 p.m. | Late afternoon snack. |
| 05:30 p.m.-06:00 p.m. | Outside play or directed play inside as parents arrive. |
